Blue lotus (Nymphaea caerulea) is popular in skincare but should be approached cautiously during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Pregnancy: There isn’t enough research to provide conclusive evidence about the safety of blue lotus during pregnancy. Some sources classify it as a mild sedative, which could affect pregnancy, so it may be best to avoid it during this time.
Breastfeeding: Due to limited research on its effects on breastfeeding, it's also advisable to avoid blue lotus while nursing.
For the stretch marks Dr Rani Samant recommends our Manjish Elixir and Jojoba Oil which is generally considered safe during pregnancy.
It is often used as a moisturiser and is non-irritating for most skin types.
The ingredients in these products are regarded as safe for breastfeeding.
