Lemon Myrtle is known as the Queen of Lemon herbs. This native Australian plant has been used in indigenous cultures around the world both medicinally & culinary. Ancient Egyptians used the leaves of the plant as a powerful fumigant to treat infections and fevers, and traces of the plant have been found in tombs.

Due to its high citral content (around 90% as compared to lemon's 10%), it contains powerful antiseptic and decongestant properties that are used in the treatment of respiratory problems, infectious diseases, and neurological disorders in Ayurveda.
