Nadi Pariksha (Pulse Reading)

What is Nadi Pariksha and how is it used in Ayurveda?

Nadi Pariksha is an ancient Indian practice of diagnosis based on pulse examination. It is believed to have originated in India more than 5,000 years ago, and is considered to be one of the oldest and most accurate systems of diagnosis.

Nadi Pariksha is based on the concept that the body is composed of three main energy channels called nadis, which are responsible for the flow of energy through the body. By examining the pulse, the practitioner is able to determine the state of the nadi channels and diagnose any physical or mental ailments.

The practice of Nadi Pariksha is still alive and well in India today, and is widely used by traditional Ayurvedic practitioners. It is also gaining popularity in the West, where it is used to help diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions.

How it is undertaken?

Nadi Pariksha involves feeling the pulse of a person and using that information to assess their overall health. The practitioner will measure the pulse rate, rhythm, and quality of the pulse, as well as the strength of the pulse and the size of the pulse wave. This information can then be used to identify any imbalances in the body that may be contributing to physical or emotional symptoms.

How it can be used to address ailments?

Nadi Pariksha forms the basis for addressing any ailment in an individual. Additionally, it is also the scientific tool that enables an individual to secure their personalised wellness regimes that range from therapeutic massages, personalised diet, exercise programmes, rigorous detoxification and lifestyle transforming experiences.
